Motor Encoder Resolver Start Point Test and Synchronization System

Description

Synchronzing reference point(0 point) of magnetic encoders/resolvers with start point(0 point) of motor shaft is quite essential to motor’s vector control/FOC(Field-Oriented Control).Motor FOC is based on precise position information provided by magnet encoder/resolver.If encoder’s reference point is not synchronized with motor shaft’s start point precisely,motor’s reactive energy will increase which will cause motor heat up instantly.With instant and redundant heat in motor which is unable to be dissipated immediately,the energy efficiency of motor decreases and heat accumulates which may cause malfunctions of motor and even safety accidents.Calibrating encoder’s reference point to motor shaft’s start point is vital to position control that will directly affect the vibration amplitude of the motor,the smoothness of power output and thus affect the comfort,efficiency and safety of mechanical equipment on which a motor is mounted.
